Weekend Fun . . .

The area's social calendar is full : walking tours, end of year shows, carnivals, brocantes, you name it!

This weekend we biked over to the neighboring village for their Fête du Pays (pay-ee = countryside, region--also means country proper). We'd been to the last few and they were always a big hit with the kiddos. There were rides for the kids, an open-air restaurant and the main event--the parade!!

First up were these vintage cars affectionately called "les deux chevaux" because of their 2 horsepower engines.

 FYI : Even Snow White loves her some John Deere . . . .

As part of the festivities, they have several dance shows where local groups can showcase their talents. I took this short video of the group from les Antilles.
