Fête des Mères

Cadeau (kado=gift)


Sunday was Mother's Day here, or rather, la Fête des Mères (fet day mare). Being a Sunday it was a calm day and I felt entitled to an extra  cocktail on that special day. The weather was gorgeous and we were able to eat outside and enjoy the yard. But not the grass. Not the grass because I no longer fight Nature and try to grow a lush lawn, but that's another story for another day.

So the day was swell and I got two awesome gifts. Well technically in a tactful move to not exclude delicate situations at home, the schools dictate that it should be la fête des parents or even la fête de la famille. They often make a gift and a card, but this year they made two gifts and a card.  So behold the bounty that we got from Big Sister. Totally cool gifts no?

This is me. My arms and legs hold notes. Cool, huh?

And this guy?? Too cute!!! Looks nothing like the Mr. in case you were wondering.

I quickly gave this one a haircut and made an alfafa/butter sandwich. Yum!

Little Sister didn't want to be outdone so she quickly fetched her Dora hairbrush and yelled "surprise!"

Melts your heart doesn't it. Having girls rocks!
