Wordless Wednesday : KICE Me, I'm French or Lost in Translation

The French "i" sounds like long "e".

The Flip-Side of the Seine

We all have this wonderfully romantic image of Paris, and rightly so! It is a city full of life, secrets, history and whimsy. However, when you look at that beautiful postcard of the Eiffel tower, it appears to sprout in the middle of a semi-deserted plain as if the entire city was built around it. . . .

The truth is that it's actually surrounded by a lot of modern buildings. The Seine river is a very busy waterway with construction companies, barges and industries lining its banks.

Look a little closer and you will see Lady Liberty herself. The USPS would  have done better to use this one for their recent fiasco stamp . . . . just saying.
