It had been ages since I'd been to a diner. There are a few in Paris, but this was different and not because it was in The Land. This one is open 24hrs. and feeds off the hustle and bustle of the highway that runs next to it. This one is called The Pancake House. This one had murals of Marilyn and James Dean.

This one sold GIANT onion rings . . .
. . but still served hummus. Yes, it's considered a main dish here. In fact, there are whole restaurants specializing in hummus. You can order it plain or with beef/lamb/chicken. I ordered mine with a hot pepper paste. It came with a side of pickles and fresh, hot pita bread.
Last but certainly not least, they served me a heart-frothed coffee on Valentine's Day.
